18. september 2009

And he also answers eight of your questions...

"I have read the messages  what you send me before. People of LKS fun rearly makes me happy.

All of them are so wonderful people.
My favorite part is critic part.
Even they tell me bad part of Little King Story,
I Love them all.
Because ,all of what they insisted was same as I am wonderling "Is it Bad? how do I think myself?"

I want to make my work better more than now.
I must make best game in my life again.

Best Regard
Yoshiro Kimura

Now, here are the first eight reader questions followed by Kimura-san's answers:

1) Of all characters, who were your favorites?

A: What a difficult question!!
Uuumh I would love to talk to Pancho sometime in a dream.
I think we’d get along really well.

2) I really liked the princesses. One of my favorites was Shizuka... I think I just like those mystery girl types. Were the princesses based on anybody in real life or just common female archetypes in cartoons and videogames?

A: It all comes from these fetishes that the character designer and I shared.
We love some interesting parts of the female body.
Oh, maybe I should not speak so honestly here!!

3) Near the end of the game, you discover that several characters were based on people the "Real Corobo" has known in his life. Is this the same case for the princesses and Verde and Liam as well (that they're based on people in Real Corobo's life) or are they originals in King Corobo's world?

A: Your suspicion is fundamentally correct.
And your question makes me happy.
Are all of the characters born from the imagination of real Corobo or not?
It doesn’t really matter, though. After all, the characters were all created in my mind.
“Real Corobo” just the same.

I have one big question.
At this point in the game, the characters are meeting Real Corobo in this case.
Real Corobo was born from my mind, but who invented me? Who invented you?
Is there something behind our existence?

4) I actually suspected that Howser and Liam would turn against you. Howser says "we are closer to our goal" to Liam early in the game in a sort of cryptic way and lets slip "the world will be mine-- I mean ours!", and Liam becomes more and more like a jerk as the game progresses, even though Corobo never really did anything bad. Were you intentionally trying to fool the player into thinking they'll become bad guys?

A: I tried to show Liam as a very human character. He was a tool to express friendship, betrayal, sloth, and hunger. After all, a lot of things can happen between friends. Your best friend might betray you, but then appear when you really need him. There are always many surprises.
You can be deceived or pleased... human relationships are like that, aren’t they?

5) I heard that sales have not been doing well. Little King's Story was recently released in Japan; is it the same story over there as well?

A: Uhmh , I hope the Japanese public will also enjoy this game enough to buy it.
Please pray for us!

6) Does the above question affect any plans for a sequel at all?

A: Please, please don’t make me answer.

7) An article from Siliconera.com states that Marvelous Entertainment has plans for developing games for the PS3 and 360 and porting or remaking some of its Wii titles to those platforms.  What led to this decision? Is there a chance Little King's Story would be one of those ports?

A: What do you think about this?
I think we are making video game for you, videogamers.
If you would like to suggest a platform, I am all ears.

8) If there is one thing you would want to change in  the game, what would that be?

A: I want to make Harlem more better, because of I love princess.
But if I seriously answer about this question, it must be this.
I want to add the multiplayer functionality, that we had previously considered.
But we did not enough time. Multiplayer. That is my answer
I want to add it and change some thing to it.
